- 7788 posted on 03/09/2011National Public Radio's president and chief executive, Vivian Schiller, resigned in connection with a scandal over a subordinate's taped remarks to a conservative activist. The move comes a day after the head of NPR's fund-raising arm, Ron Schiller, resigned. He was caught on video making disparaging remarks about the Republican Party and the tea-party movement to two men posing as members of an Islamic civic group. He also said NPR would be better off without federal funding. Do you agree?
