11月7日，德国历史上十大杰出人物评选揭晓，共产主义导师马克思，物理学家爱因斯坦，古典音乐大师巴赫，前联邦德国总理勃兰特等人榜上有名。这次评选还选出了“德国100名人”，而“德国第一名人”则将在3周后浮出水面。
“杰出人物”条件高, 球星名模难入围
德国《图片报》和国家第二电视台携手主办了这次评选活动，由于他们事先进行了大规模的宣传，所以上百万德国市民参与了投票，1300多名德国人被提名。经过一个月的统计，主办方选出了“德国十大杰出人物”和“德国100名人”。
出乎意料的是，德国一些文艺体育界名人在名人榜上排位靠后，甚至有人根本没有上榜。著名赛车手大舒马赫，温布尔登网球公开赛冠军贝克尔，网球“皇后”格拉芙，“足球皇帝”贝肯鲍尔，摇滚歌星妮娜等人只位于25到40名间，著名影星玛林·黛德丽排在第50位，世界重量级拳王马克思·史迈林仅排名第89位，而国际名模克劳迪娅·希弗则根本没有进入前100名。
据了解，这次入选“名人榜”的人物大多是政治领袖、科学家、音乐家或者文学家，作家海涅，音乐家贝多芬都在前20名之内，国籍颇有争议的音乐大师莫扎特也出现在名人榜中，居第20位。可见德国人把“杰出人物”的门槛定得很高，在他们心中，一般的“明星”和“名人”还是不能划等号的。
德国坚决反纳粹, 希特勒没进名人榜
这次评选还反映了德国人反对纳粹的决心，希特勒以及他手下的著名纳粹军官们都没有进入“德国100名人”榜，唯一一位与纳粹有些联系的入围者就是火箭专家沃纳·冯·布朗，虽然他后来加入了美国国籍，但是很多德国人还是把他看作同胞，布朗在名人榜中排名63位。
为拯救犹太人而不惜倾尽家产的奥斯卡·辛德勒这次榜上有名，他排在37位，还有不少国际知名度并不太高的反纳粹战士也在100名人之列，其中包括因反抗希特勒对犹太人政策而被绞死的青年牧师迪特利希·潘霍华，策划刺杀希特勒的克劳斯·冯·施道芬堡等人。
前联邦德国总理、1971年诺贝尔和平奖获得者维利·勃兰特则成为“德国十大杰出人物”之一。1970年，他在对捷克、波兰进行国事访问后，来到华沙犹太死难者纪念碑献花圈，而后双腿下跪，向二战中无辜被害的犹太人沉痛哀悼，虔诚地为纳粹时代的德国认罪、赎罪，从而为德国树立了良好的国际形象。德国现任外长汉斯-迪特里希·根舍表示：“我投票选勃兰特总理做德国第一杰出人物，他为国家做出的贡献是不可估量的。”
“第一名人”本月揭晓, 爱因斯坦希望最大
这次德国杰出人物评选还没有结束，因为3周后，主办方将从目前的“德国十大杰出人物”中选出一个“德国第一名人”。
这十大杰出德国人分别是物理学家爱因斯坦，共产主义奠基人马克思，古典音乐家巴赫，宗教改革领导人马丁·路德，文学家歌德，“铁血首相”俾斯麦，发明铅活字版印刷术的约翰内斯·古滕贝格，反纳粹女英雄苏非·斯考，前联邦德国总理勃兰特和康拉德·阿登纳。这些人的得票数将在3周后公布，得票最多者将成为“德国第一名人”。
据悉，目前马克思和俾斯麦的得票率都很高，但是爱因斯坦的票数一路领先，这位出生在德国，后来又加入美国籍的科学家很可能成为德国人心目中的“第一名人”。

德意志民族世界性精英辈出，的确让人羡慕。
多年前大学毕业时，有出国预备生资格，在英，美，德三国中选一。毫不犹豫就选了德国。因为，马克思，爱因斯坦，贝多芬是德国人。那时对巴赫的了解还很少。现在对马克思也没有了感觉。

“名人”和“杰出人物”在这里有具体区别吗？这篇文字好象讲得不够清楚。我看，他们先选了100个名人，又选了10个杰出人物(与100名人没有关系)，然后从杰出人中选1个第一名人(或第一杰出人物)。

In my opinion, we Chinese don't really know Marx the person, or we only know the Marx, Mao's Marx.
He probably was a great mind. But i think people like him in western intelligent world were not a few...He was just one of a kind.

Agreed, agreed. If you rate the greatest mind by providing original thinking, Marx is a no no. There are so many other German minds greater than Marx, Schopenhauer for example.
Of course, if you rate by the influence over the society (the ordinary people in general), Marx is a winner. Yet that's the very place where his damage has occurred. To judge a genius, we should see how other geniuses think of him, not the society. As to Marx, I don't see any significant influence of his over noticeable artists, writers or other thinkers, in the course of human intellectual striving.
