While Mid-Age Crisis is a myth, Mid-Life Crisis may be not.

Mid-Life Crisis is not marked by age (Daniel Shek), but by realization of ones own mortality and feeling of the need of change - to "reappraise previous life structures with an eye to making revisions." (Margaret Huyck).
