Watched the 1st half of the Alexander yesterday and felt some gay-related dialogues are not very necessary.
For instance: when Alexander’s mother asked him to get married, he answered:”But I love Hephaestion!”
When Alexander indeed got married, Hephaestion sneaked in at the wedding night, almost in tears, and proclaimed his love to Alexander again.
I would think Alexander, although having a homosexual relationship with Hephaestion, would be accustomed to sleeping with women. He has concubines and many female captives and slaves. He would know he wanted an heir. Something like getting married shouldn’t be a big interference to his gay relationship or a big blow to Hephaestion.

You mean you still have hope in Hollywood? :-)
