This is nothing. Universities in the U.S. have all kinds of sports classes including golf. I just don't get why the class has to be mendatory. - posted on 10/18/2006

Universities in China have all kinds of sports too...

That is exactly why sports like golf should be taught in the university. Even in the U.S., how many people can afford to take classes from a golf club? Public universities give common folks opportunities to access these kind of sports.
The real underlying problem is how transparent the annual budget approval processes are in the Chinese public school system? Are the priorities of the programs openly discussed? Are the financial reports openly published? What is the % cost of the golf course comparing to other academic programs? Without certain regulations, the abuse of tax payer's money is bound to happen.

I went there a couple of times, compareto ski, it's cheaper...
But to play Golf with CA/E/I/O/UOs, you got to pay high premium.

we may discuss two different things -:)
