Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
If you're going to San Francisco
You're gonna meet some gentle people there
For those who come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a loving there
In the streets of San Francisco
Gentle people with flowers in their hair
All across the nation such a strange vibration
People in motion
There's a whole generation with a new explanation
People in motion people in motion
For those who come to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
If you come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a loving there
If you come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a loving there

Once I was in Santa Fe, NM, a local artist told me, supposedly quoting Tennessee Williams, that there were only three cities in the US where you can find culture, NY, SF, and Santa Fe, whereas everywhere else it is just like Cleveland.
Not living in any of these three cities, I was not willing to accept this idea, , but I always envy those who do live in NY and SF ever since.

10 Places of a Lifetime
http://www.nationalgeographic.com/places/places-of-a-lifetime.html
A mosaic of colorful, distinctive neighborhoods, San Francisco, California, is a city of trend-setting high fashion and famous postcard views. Within this seven-by-seven-mile metropolis—which perches on a peninsula amid 43 hills—you’ll find ethnic enclaves such as the Mission District, leafy parks like the Presidio and Golden Gate, tony residential areas such as Nob Hill, and the gleaming office towers of the Financial District. Over the years, this supremely tolerant city has welcomed the Irish, Latinos, Chinese, hippies, gays, and dot-commers. “It’s an odd thing,” said Oscar Wilde, “but anyone who disappears is said to be seen at San Francisco.” - Re: 旧金山......posted on 12/11/2007

影片的结束语是: there's no place like home......
Davies Symphony Hall & S.F City Hall -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkcE6Vy-e6c&NR=1
Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high,
There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.
If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow why oh why cant I?
The Wizard of Oz (1939) is everybody's cherished favorite, perennial fantasy film musical from MGM during its golden years. It soon became a classic institution, and a rite of passage for everyone, and probably has been seen by more people than any other motion picture over multiple decades. - Re: 旧金山......posted on 12/22/2007
