Read this news a few days ago and still feel funny.
Many years after being elected as the president of South Africa and winning the Nobel peace prize, Nelson Mandela is finally removed from the "terrorist list" of the US, not too late for his 90th birthday though.

I was puzzled too when I saw the news yesterday. I suppose one can be a peaceful terrorist or a terrorist peacenik. ;) - Re: Mandela removed from US terrorist listposted on 07/03/2008
When you come to think about this, the US government's behavior is actually not that surprising. The Nobel peace prize didn't bring much good to Pauling, he was still criticized and eventually pushed out of Caltech.
Chinese government won't be too happy if Dalai, or Ding Zilin, wins the peace prize. When it comes to this prize, governments are just a different beast. - posted on 07/03/2008
It is not that US government hold anything against Mandela. After all, he received Congressional Gold Medal and Presidential Medal of Freedom from US. There is only one explanation for this terrorist list thing: sheer stupidity.
