Hi,
My book that was about to come out five months ago finally IS out. Below is the advertisement for general public. If you ever want to order in quantity for your students, I could give the book to you for 5 USD instead of 7 (plus mailing). It could be a good learning material as the book is bilingual. 215 pages.

It was about time... Talking About China (I), published in 2002, had been reprinted twice and the 15,000 copies were sold out. In this bilingual (English-Chinese) work, 215 pages, illustrated with cartoons, readers will see how more critical I became when talking about China, and how much China has developed in the recent years while preparing for the Olympics.

Talking about China
Lisa Carducci (Foreign Languages Press)
Conservative readers might be surprised, if not stung, by the sharp views expressed in Talking about China, the newest book by Canadian writer and artist Lisa Carducci, who has been living in China for 17 years.
Immediately after listing the tremendous changes that have taken place in China since Beijing was announced as the 2008 Games' host city, she immediately moves on to the deep-seated habit of spitting - a subject she also discussed in detail in the book's popular first edition published six years ago.
Her book's appeal to both Chinese and foreign readers goes beyond the 31 topics she addresses about the changing China. Much of it lies in the way she expresses the deep love she nurtures for the country, which she has come to regard as her second home.
Also, while many Sinologists analyze vast topics from an aloof, academic perspective, and many people seem determined to only pick at China's flaws, Carducci's book is precious in that she "pursues truth". She praises the country's achievements and criticizes its shortcomings out of genuine concern.
Perhaps it is her multicultural background - she is an accomplished poet in both French and Italian - that enables her to show more leniency toward, and find amusement in, cultural differences. Her comparisons of how people from different cultures deal with the same questions is also very inspiring. LJ
