Sounds like my old neighbor after a few pops of pakalolo.
I have the same concern about the ibuprofen I take for my knee after exercise.

- posted on 09/15/2009

First-generation nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) include ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) and naproxen (Naprosyn, Aleve). These medications have side effects that can limits their use, including gastrointestinal bleeding and elevated blood pressure. A second generation NSAID, such as the presciption COX-2 inhibitor celecoxib (Celebrex), is much less risk likely to cause bleeding, but may increase risk for heart attack and stroke.

Few people realize that in some cases, OTC drugs contain the same amount of an active ingredient as that found in prescription medications. Using OTC grugs incorrectly -- for example, taking them for too long or in excessive doese -- can cause serious side effects.
Example 1: People with arthritis often treat their symptoms with OTC painkillers, such as ibuprofen (Advil) and naproxen (Aleve), for months or years -- even though the label advises against taking these drugs for more than 10 consecutive days without consulting your doctor. The long term use of such drugs greatly increase the risk for stomach bleeding as well as heart or /and kidney problem.

95% of Americans with Arthritis have one of the five types. Osteoarthitis is the most common form. It strikes more than 50% of the people over 65 and 80% if those over age 75.
Osteo sufferers tend to take a lof of acetaminophen (Tylenol) and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including ibuprofen (Advil, Nuprin) and naproxen (Naprosyn, Aleve). In large amounts, these effective and seemingly innocuous over-counter drugs can be toxic, even deadly. Ask your doctor how much is safe for you.
