玛雅问对 Oprah 怎么看,我觉得她是个了不起的人。她的身世很苦,但她的成就很大。下面这一段是Quincy Jones 论 Oprah。
I grew up poor, on the street of Chicago's Southside. My mother was schizophrenic, in and out of mental hospitals. Many people, like myself, have had horrendous childhoods. Lord knows many stars have. We make up a dysfunctional army. For years Oprah and I have talked about it. We both come from screwed-up families. She can take darkness apart, convert it in a New York minute! Then she gives the healing to so many people! - posted on 11/20/2010
IT'S Sydney's biggest ticket scramble since that other big O - the Olympics.
And such is the Australian demand for the Sydney shows by TV talk queen Oprah Winfrey, tickets will be offered in a Games-style ballot.
Ticketing for the summer shows will be finalised by Winfrey's Harpo Productions next month, with fans to log their interest online on a date to be advised.
Winfrey will record two episodes from the Sydney Opera House forecourt. The 3000 seats will include the 300 loyal viewers she will bring with her from the US.
Winfrey told the excited fans they were being treated to a tour Down Under during the opening show of her farewell season yesterday.
Amid frenzied scenes on the Chicago set, Winfrey sent a personalised message sharing her wish list for the "dream vacation".
."Really just to see the sights, hear the sounds, taste the wine, experience everything that your country has to offer," she said.
Swapping her southern drawl with an attempted Aussie accent, she added: "I say cheers mate."
Harpo producers will fly here later this month on a reconnaissance mission to confirm filming locations.
Winfrey told her audience they could look forward to sailing on Sydney Harbour, wine-tasting in Margaret River and shopping in Melbourne. Also expected to make an appearance as "correspondents" are her favourite Aussie guests, including chef Curtis Stone and actor Hugh Jackman.
Taxpayers will contribute $1.5 million in federal funding and about $2 million from NSW's coffers.
Former tourism boss John Brown yesterday praised the promotion as an opportunity to match the buzz of Paul Hogan's "shrimp on the barbie" campaign.
It is the first - and possibly last - time Winfrey will take the program outside of North America, in a coup aided by her friend and Qantas ambassador John Travolta.
The Grease star acted as pilot in a mocked-up Qantas jet rolled on stage during the season opener, which will air on Channel 10 at 1pm today
