Tonight, President Obama will deliver the important annual speech. Prior to that, political analysts and media press have already spent a lot of time speculating what message he will deliver and what the newly steered direction. Well, it's like people are curiously waiting to see what new dress Saint Santa going to be wearing for Christmas, or how different the bells will jingle. Cut, Cut, Cut, it's not some impatient director asking me to stop my clich¨¦. It's the budget cut---or belt tightening. In Chinese, it's called toast with the northwest wind.
Cut what? Cut fat? Yeah, but the huge bird might be like a KFC chicken and the fat spreads and is hidden between every fibre of lean muscle. Starve the chicken then. Great. How about all us doing some fitness exercise. Well, that will do just fine. Shake your body, shake shake shake, every other mile on the driver seat when your car gobbles another gallon of fuel.
Cut, Cut, Cut, now it's me asking myself to stop uttering nonsense. OK, now, will this budget cut make a KFC chicken become a free range athletic one? Ask this question to your crystal ball. Maya has tarot cards and she can tell you too. Come on, did I just say chicken again? Let's forget the chicken and Maya's fortune telling cards.
The most point I want to make here is, I truly hope the financial cut will not affect the investment in medicine or other innovative technologies. Technology investment can attract the intelligent mind, such as Albert Einstein. And, if the country could open the door and bring in more immigrants ( entrepreneur or otherwise), that would help significantly to pay off the debt and erase the deficit. Just like the huge wave of European immigration to North America. That's always full of hope and prosperity.

President Obama is indeed an excellent speaker. The State of Union Adress he delivered Tuesday night easily reflected his charisma, sense of humor but internal strength and resolute. Though the words stumbled a couple of times, overall his speech is clear, strong and right to points. His position on lifting the ROTC bans makes one of heros in the history of politics. No one is perfect but he surely will be the super remarkable one. However, even though the speech itself is inspiring, some of the reality--budget etc---still has many daunting challenges. To be fair, the spending cut could be widespread and affecting many areas funded by the government. Anything public funded but not directly related to national defense might felt the squeeze. That's a little gloomy, but also means the self-reliance and career boost of private companies, which are always quite competitive and innovative.
