While visiting Idaho Falls, I found this shocking piece of history. The museum of Idaho gave me this link. That museum was financed by Carr foundation. Also visited Idaho Patato museum, the famous Idaho potato was researched by a German scientist.

The story of the US POW Camps all through America is very intriguing. The little Idaho Falls camps represented just a tiny fraction of the overall placement of about 425,000 POWs here in America during the 1940's. One of the main Idaho camps was in Rupert. There were perhaps 20 smaller camps scattered throughout the southern part of the state.
