Professors and staff at Minzu University in Beijing are collaborating with the World Mind Network in addressing environmental, educational, social, and cultural problems in both China and the rest of the world. They are working on ways to employ commonly available programs including Weibo, Yahoo, Baidu, and YouTube to bring about planetary change.
The emphasis is on empowering individuals to locate, define, and address problems using popular technology.
There are now more web and smart phone users in China than any other country. Because modern phones and laptops put the power of computers in everyone's hands, they have the capacity to solve problems at a local level without, or in addition to, efforts at regional and national levels.
