h an(男子)汉:h an女婿、丈人;tan谈:t an说话;tan炭:taan灰;ch a叉:ch a叉;su an酸:su u n酸;b ao包:p au o包;ch i吃:ch ii吃肉;ch i齿:ch ii口;ch a i柴:ch e柴;ch u an船:ch em船;zh o n g种:ch um种;tu an团(圆):tom圆;k en g坑:k om坑洼;w a蛙:u o蛙;g an干(戈):k an(捍卫);an俺:en我;y i伊(他,她):y他的;d en g登,凳:tem登,凳;tan坛:tem神坛;p an g胖:p em胖。
k a苦:k a苦的;k a i歌:k a i歌唱;h iu a雨:h a雨,水;m iu a无:m a没,不,无;tau刀:ta刀;ta肚:taa肚子;d iek直:tek (to h)直;p iek壁:p ak墙壁;ch iak赤:ch ak红色的;sh iu o k数:x o k(x在此读sh)数;d o k读:x o k读;b iu a t伐(砍):b a t斧;lian g亮:lem亮;d ian g长:tam深,长;ian g央:y am在中央;g iu an倦:k an疲倦;g ian g强:k an强有力的;h u an g黄:k an黄色的;sh en g生:sian生的时间;d z ian前:tan在前。

Reply maya“And the observant will see human diseases with no cure… acid rain, global warming, hurricanes, tornadoes…and they shall continue to see man’s pollution that poisons both the earth and the sea, leaving the ground dry and cracked, while the waters which were once teeming with life will be transformed into watery graveyards, uninhabitable for even the amoeba to survive. And before the veil is lifted from the bride’s face the groom will see the advent of killer tsunamis and monster earthquakes that will take human and animal life in record numbers, a tally of death and destruction unheard of before, except in ancient stories left behind by early man, describing the wrath of an angry God as He cleanses an overly wicked and overly polluted Earth.
Are these the apocalyptic predictions of Nostradamus or Edgar Cayce? No, rather these “end of days” prophecies can be heard on any given day in the French Quarter by a multitude of modern day oracles that use Jackson Square as their pulpit.
As these modern day John the Baptist preach about the “last days” to tourists and locals who mostly respond by hurriedly walking past these prophets of bad news, it’s more than interesting to note that an increasing number of the Quarter’s nouveau soothsayers are not receiving their forewarning of the world’s apocalyptic end from traditional Christian-Judeo / Muslim doctrine that prophesize an “end of day” scenario, but rather their predictions of Armageddon are inspired by the Mayan Calendar and the Chinese “Book of Changes” also known as the “I Ching.” (Pronounced ee ching)
Amazingly, both the Mayan Calendar and the Chinese “Book of Changes” call for the world to end as we know it on December 21, 2012.
The ancient Mayans of Central America were a people who were obsessed by the relationship between the solar system and time as it interacts with man. Their civilization as masters and keepers of time reached its pinnacle from 6th century AD through 9th century AD.
The Mayan calendar which dates back to 6th century BC is an incredible system of almanacs and calendars that uses data obtained by ancient “skywatchers” who for thousands of years studied the alignment of lunar, solar and planetary heavenly bodies and how in particular, their positioning affected conditions / life on Earth.
With the calendar’s interlocking time scales, the Mayans were able to precisely predict events that went both backward and forward in time. Even with the application of 21st century technology as it pertains to astronomy and meteorology, the Mayan calendar is still considered the most accurate calendar known to mankind. Scholars of Mayan antiquity say that the Mayan calendar has successfully predicated to the day and the exact time, events that range from eclipses, droughts, flooding, and even the invasion of the Spaniards to the “New World”. Indeed by studying the stars, ancient Mayans concluded the world had already ended five times before, with the next apocalypse to occur on December 21, 2012. Incredibly half a world away, an ancient Chinese book predicts the same date for man’s extinction.
I Ching – aka the Book of Changes
Divination: Is the attempt to gain insight into a question or situation by way of a standardized process or ritual.
Geomancy: Is a method of divination that interprets markings on the ground or the patterns formed by tossed handfuls of soil, rocks, or sand.
The I Ching is one of the oldest of Chinese classic texts. The book contains a divination system comparable to Western geomancy. In Western cultures and modern East Asia, it is still widely used for this purpose.
The I Ching was written in China in 2800 B.C. and is still revered to this day in China and many parts of the world as a book that can foretell the future.
Terrence McKenna, an American author, public speaker, metaphysician and philosopher studied the I Ching intensely and began to see a pattern emerging from his in-depth studies. From the patterns of lines that were produced through the tossing of two-sided coins, McKenna produced a time line graph and called it the “Time Wave Zero” theory. Mckenna’s time line derived from the I Ching ended in the year 2012 – December 21, 2012 to be exact, the winter solstice.
The Winter Solstice occurs yearly on the 21st of December in the northern hemisphere, exactly when the Earth's axial tilt is farthest away from the sun at its maximum of 23° 26'. Though the Winter Solstice lasts only an instant in time, it is via this “snapshot” in time on December 21, 2012 that McKenna and others believe that the I Ching accurately foretells the Earth’s destruction, a destruction that is in correlation with the Mayan calendar’s doomsday prediction.
Whatever ones spiritual belief or lack of belief is, it cannot go unnoticed that earthquakes, and storms have appeared to have intensified over the years. Is it possible that ancient man by studying the stars and its affect on nature and by learning to properly interpret signs of “chance” had already figured out when the end of the world would occur? Skeptics of the Mayan calendar and the I Ching have a little more than two years to be proven right, if not, then perhaps mankind should party on New Years Eve December 31, 2011, like it’s Prince’s 1999.
As always Louisianans, the New Orleans Examiner is interested in what you think. Could the Mayan’s doomsday calendar and Terrence McKenna’s application of the “Book of Changes” be correct in foretelling the end of the world. Thinking out of the “box”, could God have given man these gifts as “additional tools” to be prepared for what he cannot alter? Inquiring minds want to know. Sound off.
Until next time Louisianans, Good Day, God Bless and Good Fishing.
