这篇文章“夹”在一本英语散文集里，跟了我多年，一直没有发现。直到在王小波的一篇文字里看见提到“两种文化”，才偶然翻到(惊讶)。

我最喜欢的是这句：
Compared with the rest of the intellectual world, considerably more scientists in this country and probably in the U.S. come from poor families.
