I just realized there is something I really like about the Intelligent Design theory. I think it should be taught not only in Science class but also in Engineering school. At least I wish I had learned ID when I was in school: then whenever my computer program didn’t run I could have just told my professor:”I can’t explain why it happens, but have you thought maybe there is a possibility that a supernatural power is behind this, based on Chapter one? Have you? Have you?” The professor just had to let me pass.
I’d like to try the ID answer on my boss too. But she is probably not going to be impressed. She is Jewish. She is listening to the Christmas music lately and got confused sometimes. During last staff meeting she asked us why Disney’s Christma’s song says “walking in the woman’s underwear.” We did some research on it and found out it is “walking in the winter’s wonderland”.
She also received an alien Santa Claus toy as a Christmas gift in a party. When she thanked the person for the gift she learned it was actually a “Grinch”. “How could a Jewish girl know about all this?!” She gushed.
Talking about Christmas, I am boycotting the greeting “Merry Christmas” this year. I had no problem with it before but I decided we need to keep things balanced in this country. Plus it is fun to annoy some groups who have annoyed me so much lately. So I say happy holidays to you and there is nothing you can do about it! Nah nah nah nah nah!

No day is holier. Every day presents equal opportunities, for doing good or bad.
Happy days… Yes I mean happy days!

Susan is in keeping with W? Apparently the wording on seasons greeting cards from the white house was "happy holidays", and the word "Christmas” was no where to be seen, to the dismay of the evangelicals.
Happy New Year everyone!

Yes the evangelists are going too far this time. They not only blamed the white house but also boycotted Target and Walgreens for not saying "Merry Christmas" in their commercials. So I am having a counter-boycott against them. :O)

My best friend Dale is the most devoted Christian. He never celebrates Christmas and he believes that Roman Catholic deliberately insulted Jesus two thousand years ago.
As we all know, Dec.25 was not Jesus's birthday, it was an old pagan's winter holiday.
But by all means, we should all be thankful for the few days off work, and most important, learn to understand and to tolerate the others during this holiday season.

Does your friend celebrate any other days as Jesus' birthday? Does he belong to any denomination? I am curious...

The importance is not Jesus' birthday, but his core teaching: love between each human being.
I think Dale now is Reform. he has been changing denomination all these years. It is not an easy life for him being a Christian.
