新试题给亚裔增加了语言障碍，再加上美国近来日趋严厉的移民政策，要圆美国梦将变得更难
“国旗上有多少颗星？有多少条纹？……”类似老掉牙的问题、一两句简单的英语答案就能顺利过关的美国入籍考试，即将成为历史。
从明年10月1日开始，美国将启用新的入籍考试试题。这是1986年设立这一考试制度以来的首次修改。相对拉美等其他族裔比，新试题给亚裔增加了语言障碍，再加上美国近来日趋严厉的移民政策，要圆美国梦将变得更难。
新试题突出爱国主义
简单的问题，高达97％的通过率，早就让美国政府“看不过去了”。特别是对于高学历申请者来说，入籍考试显得越来越苍白无力，“就连一个恐怖分子复习一下也能轻鬆过关”。
2007年9月27日，美国移民局正式揭开了100道新试题的神秘面纱。
移民局长冈萨雷斯在新闻发布会上说，“它再也不是一个有关国旗上有多少星和条纹的考试。”新入籍考试不仅要求申请人具有口头表达、阅读和书写英语的能力，还测试他们对美国历史、地理和政治制度的了解，而最突出的特点还是爱国主义，几乎考遍美国历史上最重要的划时代事件，其中也包括“9“11”。
亚裔受影响相对更大
然而，这却引起了少数族裔的不满，特别是占申请者总数近40％的亚裔。
马克克吉田是“亚美正义中心”下属亚太法律中心专门负责移民事务的律师。他告诉《国际先驱导报》，与现行试题相比，新试题要求词汇量大，问题比较抽象，不易理解和作答，而且判答标準单一，如“美国经济制度是什么？”正确答案只有“资本主义”和“市场经济”两个，其余答案都不能得到认可。试题中还出现一些非常生僻的人名。
他说，对于占申请者达一半以上的拉美裔人来说，英语障碍相对较小，应付新试题难度不大；但对于母语截然不同的亚裔人来说，用英语作答如此抽象和深奥的问题更具挑战性，特别是那些年长和受教育程度不高的人。
众多移民团体提出抗议
马克克吉田在接受本报记者採访时说：“就算移民局将新试题和答案一同公布，亚裔也需要克服很大困难才能确保顺利通过考试。目前，“亚美正义中心”作为参与修订入籍考试的亚裔组织，已和另外两百多个移民团体，一起向美国移民局提出抗议。
但吉田坦言，抗议的影响力有限。目前，“亚美正义中心”一方面继续分析和评估新试题给亚裔带来的影响，另一方面，也在鼓励亚裔加紧提高英语水平。不过，吉田也指出，亚裔在美国更喜欢聚居，平时不用英语也能生活，因此语言水平有限。另外，由于生存压力，他们中大多数人也无暇顾及语言学习。

考你是否知道美国的历史、宪法、社会。
都是很简单的问题，比考托福GRE要容易多了，简直就是白痴都能回答的问题。
华人入籍受影响，是因为很多华人不说英文，不闻美国的事，整天呆在华人聚集的地方，干什么事都要华人团体，要靠“团结”才能生活，是一种弱势群体。

there is an October 1, 2008 deadline, no big difference for you anyway.
