The universe is expanding.

so...
Do you mean the entropy is not equal to zero?

Could be NULL....:-)

Decay and final dissolution is our future. This is happening in a random way in a universe of constraint and the wish for order. Breakdown and randomness under the undeniable force of expansion. This is why life evolved, it is the counter weight to these mechanisms, all be it futile ones. That is why sex and love are so compelling and compulsive. Cleaving, in lusts full embrace, to one and other offers the fools gold that we can stop these universal forces. Then,of course, in our sub conscience we believe our fruit derived from our carnal comforts will yield progeny that will some day triumph over every impediment to our yearning for eternal life in an expansion less universe. Null it is not, perhaps nihilistic. - posted on 02/10/2008
Exactly opposite.
If the universe is expanding, and that means the entropy is not zero, and there is an undeniable force inside universe causing the expansion. It is love, which is constantly seeking intellectuals and vice versa.
As life continues evolving, sex is compelling and compulsive, but love is discounting, even among the intellectuals. In lust's full embrace, we can't stop these universal forces of stupid sex of mediocre people. According to Bell curve, mediocrity is majority. All the progeny of these mediocre sex will disdain love and eventually null love.
The force that drives the expanding of the universe is diminishing. When the progeny produced by the progeny produced by mediocre people's mediocre sex occupies every city and village, love will die completely, and caused entropy to be equal to zero, which means the expanding force will become null, and the universe will stop expanding. The equilibrium of zero-expanding universe and its zero-intelligence occupants is reached. Our yearning for eternal life in a zero-expansion universe is therefore granted.
Live with lust or die with love, choose one...:-), :-), :-)...
The good news is that intellectuals refuse to be conquered by mediocrity, that is the reason Maya Cafe, and many other Cafes just like it, came into being...
Sorry, don't mean to confront, just a different opinion. :-), :-), :-)...

Why not rejoice the negative entorpy first before mourning for the inevitable entropy? - Re: Entropyposted on 02/10/2008

What is that--negative entropy? Define or describe. - Re: Entropyposted on 02/10/2008
Go ask Schrödinger

Schrödinger is dead though I can never be sure whether his cat is dead or not. :-), :-), :-)...
