WOA 趁老尚不在时，对Opera 与的Musical的非官方差别总结得挺好。但“非官方差别”毕竟还不是官方的--WOA 怎么也犯这种国内很多老乐迷常犯的低级错误呢？在下老歌剧,不得不出面指出,以正视听. :-)
The only "official" difference between an opera and a musical is that: sleep is an excellent way, and to a non-opera buff, the only way, of enjoying an opera whereas a musical is for all low- and middle-brows to enjoy.:)
There are snobs everywhere. Opera snobs are some of the snobbiest snobs of all--like Yours Truly. We try to make you folks feel bad by showing off how much we know, and how valuable our opinions are, about operas. More often than not, we make sure that our snobbery masquerades as helpfulness, making you ashamed of your ignorance.:)
