Both are from the same poet 西条八十...guess this lyric version is trimmed for the movie only, and I personally like the song's lyric better.

正巧去年夏天把《人证》复习过，二十多年后再看，比先前似乎多懂了许多。强尼是美国黑人大兵在日本占领时期的私生子，战后随父亲回美。他成年之后，黑人父亲自己设计了舍命撞车的苦肉计，骗得保险公司的赔款，得以让儿子回日本寻找生母。而母亲八杉恭子转嫁富商后，通过艰辛努力已成为时装界的大师，她不堪回首战时所受的凌辱，无法面对代表那段屈辱历史的私生子，更不能让强尼的出现毁掉自己的事业，于是亲手将匕首刺入儿子的胸膛。《草帽歌》就是强尼绝望于母亲的无情，独自捂着胸中的匕首，一步步走向悬崖时唱响的主题歌曲。
片子还有另外两条线索，八杉恭子的次子因为潜逃一次交通肇事，最终也死于非命，以及刑事警察栋居在美调查强尼案时，巧逢当年杀死自己父亲的美军退役军官。尽管二十多年后再看，我仍然只能用“震撼”来形容，由黑人歌手乔中山演唱的这支歌，如touche所言具有强大的催泪功率，等我去古狗一下MP3来。

人证是多年以前看的，具体情节已经模糊。唯有结尾这支“草帽歌”，以及草帽随风飘落的画面，终生难忘。"Mama, do you remember..."

。《草帽歌》就是强尼绝望于母亲的无情，独自捂着胸中的匕首，一步步走向悬崖时唱响的主题歌曲。
你忽略了Johnny 在惊愕 (万没料到母亲如此举动)后的短暂瞬间读懂了母亲双手握住刀柄把刀完全刺入自己身体的举动。 而这样一个转变是不能缺少的。
感觉是黑人“儿子”比“母亲”演的更到位。
