Williamsburg was a thriving center of commerce and government by the middle of the 18th Century. Williamsburg came to pass subsequent to the failure of the first English settlement at Jamestown. The prominent role Williamsburg played in the events leading to the Revolutionary War is well known. Now, it keeps original appearance. 荷尔德林

我买到荷尔德林的英译本了。他比歌德，席勒都好看。他的诗有一种音乐感。我总觉得他是诗人中的莫扎特。傅聪说的莫扎特和贝多芬的区别，倒是很象歌德和荷尔德林。
