Dear Yao Chen, I applaud! Congratulations on your achievements as an impressively young and successful composer. I enjoyed the concert very much. Out of my expectation, the trio of pipa, bass and piano doesn't sound odd to my "conservative" ears at all. Rather, it is the smooth combination, the mutual imitation and investigation of the East and West that struck me most.
