抱歉,没写清楚,不是指这里“群情激愤", 指李的听众. 我也没有"激愤"呀. 意见不一而已. 从李的角度,是学术. 我觉得这种课题学术和非学术的线太细了. :-)

I've tried the first 16 lessons of Pimsleur's French I. It teaches you a few basic things, e.g., asking for direction, shopping, greetings, and most importantly, how to pick up a woman. The way these lessons were designed qualifies them to be "实用速成傻瓜书", in my opinion. ;-)

Interesting... It mirrors what's happening in China. But, what is Khrushchev really like? I've read so many ludicrous stories about his uncivilized peasant like behavior that I'd easily (but most likely mistakenly) think of him as an imbecil. Did Khrushchev really oust Stalin because of ideology (e.g."freeing Russia from Stalin's bloody past")? Or perhaps it was just a byproduct of a political war. I hope for the former.
