- Maybe, just maybe, we live to the day when anyone can be online all the time - connected permenantly to the internet through some optical fibre ( or more sophisticated material - no name yet)bio chip which embedded in our body, and you can only be offline through:a) unpluging the chip; or b) unexpected death. That is cool - I'm kind of look forward to it...so age doesn't matter in the virtual world. So for ever and ever

However the web is also a channel of the real world so it can't be so pure. The best way to keep it alive and fresh is let it be. Folks who write for the sake of writing (or for whatever the reasons), are minorities anyway. Let them, won't you? And in the meantime, we can complain. Of course!

- In my writing class, 70% of the members are women. They write well. Also, recently discovered a few good female writers of English language: Jean Rhys (good morning midnight, wide sargasso), Iris Murdoch(underneath the net, Italian girl, The sea, the sea) and Muriel Spark (The prime of miss Jean Brodie, the comforters, Loitering with Intent, A far Cry from Kensington). I like Muriel Spark in particular. Will try to trace the places where she was loitering as a school girl) in Edinburgh where I am vi

Or we have to alter our aethetic taste? For me, I think, desire is based on pleasant sensations, in particular those received by my eyes. And without desire love is empty (but it's only my view.) That's why I am totally amazed that people can fall in love purely for their imaginary things and being blind with what they see. An unusual quality, I suppose. I accept that some people have this q

- Inspiring discussions. But we human beings are too arrogant and eccentric. Compared to the universe we are like young infants, knowing too little about the universe in which we dwell in a very tiny way. Yes we have explored and studies and thought above everything which have come into our mind, and we are thrilled by the magnificent mansions we have established (religions and Gods, philosophies, and indeed science), cannot help but be carried away by the achievements of human beings. But remember we

Don't think she is someone who can win people's heart. Then again not many people can in this world. Don't think she is very friendly with China either but of course she can put a fake smile on when necessary. A frightening calculating character. Has she done anything to serve American people apart from looking after her own interests (including being Bush's keen running dog)? Tell me that. I wounldn't want to buy a book about her. P

It's disgusting when people say "oh, that's what they do in America" as if that is a kind of justice. I don't think that's what they do in America unless we are takling about insane people. What a laughing stick!

- Hi Maya, as you know we all like this place and people would love to make contribution if they feel comfortable. May I make a suggestion? You may want to have someone else to handle the donation for maya cafe. It's not so effective for you, the hostess and the writer, to deal with money business in person. It's also someting to do with your image. It's quite subtle, as much as love. It has to be gentle and easy. I hope you won't mind me being straight forward. Good luck. Little

- We always want to fight with something, now it's time to fight ourselves, being too daring, too inovative and too lost. Human being is doomed. But we will have enough wisdom or luck to survive whatever happeneds in science and our society. Maybe we shouldn't be too worried. Yes, it's terrible, yes, but as long as we know it, there is hope for there will be someone / some system out there to mitigate the disatrous outcome, sometimes at huge expenses... I expect we will see more movies/books to show these
