Genesis 19:15-26. ---------------------------- 15 With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, "Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished." 16 When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the LORD was merciful to them. 17 As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, "Flee

I come to realize that many times when I ¾À²ø×Å¡°ÒâÒ塱, it is not really about ÒâÒå. It is more about some impending problems I don't want to face. It could be an approaching deadline of a project, a job that is heading nowhere, or even some unwashed dishes in the sink. :-) Once you can identify it, you get your perspective back: coz I am not going to make my life miserable

I would add that private citizens in China are also forced to adopt an impossibly high moral standard. By preaching the value of ethics, the government is diverting people's attention from the crumbling public service system. Too many times individuals take the blame for failures of the government. I've always wanted to write an article titled "the sweet trap of morality".

The movie practically ruined my hope for the Canadian medical system. Also seriously damaged my fantasy on historians. The academic life doesn't seem to bring wisdom in life or comfort at the end of it. What you can really depend on are: a few good friends, a really responsible son, heroin, and the money to buy heroin. In reality I've yet to see a peaceful exit. Intelligent men, handsome men, family men,

- This is not readable. Is it translated by some translation tool? I got the following when reading cult of Cybele. In today's words, its religious ritual is a drag show. ;-) "Cybele's most ecstatic followers were males who ritually castrated themselves, after which they were given womens clothing and assumed female identities, who other contemporary commetators in ancient Greece and Rome reffered to as Gallos or Galli. Her Priestesses led the people in orgiastic ceremonies with wild music, drummi

Are we talking about eternal life for you only (or for whoever participated in your dream game only), or for everone on earth? Coz there is a big difference here. Also, would we have illness or other physical sufferings in this eternal life? That makes a lot of difference too. I am not quite sure about the "parallel lives", does it mean you get to be whoever you want to be without effort, or does it mean I have to work two jobs to support my two lives? :)
- [RE:] ÀÏÁË¿´Ê²Ã´Ê飿Posted by fanghuzhai on 05/10/2006. susan commented once.Very much agreed! I lost interest in the touchy feely chicken-soup-for-the-soul kind of articles after I was 25. Don't know why a lot of people still write those online. I skip any essay with "xia2 xiang3" or "qi3 shi4" or "sui2 gan3" in the title. Can't stand romantic novels. I don't mind reading a little romantic story as side dishes to a thriller. I don't mind reading taboids. But a long romantic story? I was like:"somebody'd better start killing somebody or I am losing my patience!"
