- Advanced geometry of Islamic art (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6389157.stm) A study of medieval Islamic art has shown some of its geometric patterns use principles established centuries later by modern mathematicians. Researchers in the US have found 15th Century examples that use the concept of quasicrystalline geometry. This indicates intuitive understanding of complex mathematical formulae, even if the artisans had not worked out the underlying theory, the study says. The discovery

The Cask of the Amontillado, The Black Cat, Fall of the House of Usher and The Tell-Tale Heart are among my favorites. I have a fondness for fishnets because they are sexy and practical if you ever get stranded on a raft. I think you're beautiful and I'd be excited to listen to your ideas, share laughs and kiss you until your toes smoked. I did the corporarte thing

- wukong posted on 02/21/2007I am not a far-sighted person, so the default setting of the fonts used by the entire Cafe is too small for me (I can get by, but my eyes easily get strained.) I have attempted to change the text size by selecting the IE built-in "view" option, but to no avail. Even if I change the size to the largest, all I get is just slightly increased spacing between neighboring rows. The only other option that I am aware of is to decrease the screen resolution, but that way my other programs will suffer considerably.
