They become historical relics for people to ridicule and laugh. There are quite a few good books describing those funny and obsolete laws out there. I was about to say more but realized my lack of the necessary qualifications to do so: I don't have the breast or breast-feeding experience involved here.

Too much information can be overwhelming and paralyzing. :) So if you could see/visit/suggest only place/town/city/state, which one would you choose to see/visit/suggest? If you ask us to suggest one city to spend three weeks, guess which city would come on top of that list to be suggested by the people here or elsewhere? :) Where in the U.S. is t
- This is a very nicely written piece with all points clearly articulated. I enjoyed reading it and look forward to more of this kind. Skeptism to the exclusion of any "-isms", and pursuit solely of pecuniary and prurient interests, as widely practiced in China today, is a social malaise, but hopefully a passing plague during social transitions, to be replaced by some ¡°ism¡± of a higher value.

As Feiming correctly pointed out, the Orwellian world continues to exist, simply in a disguised, hence ostensibly different, form. I recently came back from a two-week trip to China, disillusioned if not depressed. In the place of the domineering communism ideology that for decades controlled the governed lies another form of equally controlling ideology: commercialism. What is worse thi

Mr. Abagnale successfully posed as flight pilot, doctor, lawyer and history professor, among other characters. He served his sentence briefly and then started working for the FBI using his usual talents and skills. He later established a security consulting firm specializing bank frauds and became a real millionaire. His story was made into the movie CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, in which he even played a minor r

I believe certain companies or industries should be allowed to die, "passing through nature to eternity". The engine and backbone of the U.S. economy lies largely in scientific invention and technological innovation. Companies that rely on politics or stocks, rather than science and technology, for survival, should be left alone to face the predictable consequences of their deliberate decision not to compete effectively in the global economy. This i

(whoever can finish the rest without googling is entitled to an award of "photographic memory" and a senior citizen certificate.)

As an example, it may successfully elucidate the origin the Cultural Revolution-- which has baffled historians and political scholars alike for decades. The Cultural Revolution, under the "nose and sex" analysis, started from Mr. Liu Shaoqi with an over-sized nose, unfit for his time, his sexy trophy wife, admired by many, and Chairman Mao's envy of Liu and lust for his spouse...

Inside the issue are symmetric analyses of who would pick whom should each candidate prevail, with almost identical editorials and layouts. Nothing could have been more balanced or even sided than that. McCain is on the cover page (a mistake, in my view or hindsight), presumably due to the aliphatic order of the first letter of his last name.

State takes both of them and gives you milk. FASCISM: You have two cows. State takes both of them and sell you milk. NAZISM: You have two cows. State takes both of them and shoot you. BUREAUCRACY: You have two cows. State takes both of them, kill one and spill the milk in system of sewage. CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.

Your story though makes me feel very guilty. I must confess that I¡¯m not a good parent; nor am I a good husband. I think it¡¯s a miracle that I have not been fired by my family members. Each day I am grateful for the miracle with a renewed sense of joy while continuing to feel helplessly the growing pain of guilt.
